Thank you, Agents of Action!

When Governor Hogan announced the closing of Maryland schools last Thursday, Harford County rallied around our students in a big way.

Harford Community Action Agency put out the call to raise funds to replenish the food bank.  The response enabled us to take over 200 bags of food to four elementary schools, for children who could miss meals during the school shutdown — knowing we’d be able to quickly acquire more food for our neighbors in need. In the past week we’ve brought 325 more bags of food to all 13 schools, and are continuing to do so!

Here’s what you helped us bring in:

  • Virtual Food Drives:  $15,195
  • Facebook Fundraisers:  $934
  • Standard Website Donations:  $445
  • Physical Food Drive – The Volunteens held a physical food drive, which brought in approximately $4,800 worth of food to supported community food pantries.

Harford County is a beautiful place.  Thank you, Agents of Action!
