Expenses incurred by the Harford Community Action Agency’s Food Bank Program have risen dramatically, as clients in need have doubled since Maryland’s self-quarantine was suggested.

The Harford County Rotary Clubs have stepped up – approving a matching $5,000 grant to help HCAA with these expenses. Additionally, HCAA’s Board will match up to $3,000 and other community members are pledging as well.

We are currently up to over $10,000 in pledged matching donations!

Mix 106.5 and Today’s 101.9 have also included HCAA in their “Feed the Need” Virtual Food Drive Week. On Thursday, May 7th, 2020, HCAA will be the featured food bank — be sure to tune in!

Please consider donating to our virtual food drive – your donation is needed now more than ever, and with the matching grants, will go further than ever before!

Why Harford Community Action Agency?

As Harford County’s designated Community Action Agency, the HCAA’s mission is to help all Harford County individuals and families who are experiencing financial hardships in meeting their housing, food, energy/heating, and/or budget and family counseling needs. As you can imagine, HCAA’s resources are being stretched to the limit to support our friends and neighbors who are struggling the most during the COVID-19 crisis.

What Is Rotary?

Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

“Feed the Need” Virtual Food Drive:

We are partnering with our friends at Mix 106.5 and Today’s 101.9 for their “Feed the Need” Virtual Food Drive Week.

On Thursday, May 7th, 2020, the Harford Community Action Agency will be the featured food bank for Mix 106.5 and Today’s 101.9!

In an effort to bring in as many donations as possible, HCAA will be pushing the Harford County Rotaries’ Virtual Food Drive during this campaign to take full advantage of the matching funds grants and gifts we have received.
