Parenting Inside Out
Parenting inside Out, PIO, is a cognitive behavioral management skills training program created for incarcerated parents. PIO is designed to help parents to promote healthy child adjustment and prevent child problem behavior. PIO is intended to provide the opportunity for an incarcerated parent to build on their existing strengths, to begin to develop new strengths, and to experience active encouragement and community support.
By the time you finish this course you will have an individualized parenting plan. It will include your values, a family mission statement, and information on parenting techniques that will suit each one of your children.
Who Is Parenting Inside Out For?
Attendees for this course should have a past or current history with incarceration or any criminal justice involvement.
Schedule:
There will be one session per week for seven weeks. These webinars will begin at 1PM and last no longer than one hour. The topics include:
