As 2020 comes to a close, The State Theater of Havre de Grace and some of Harford County’s finest singer-songwriters are celebrating the holidays with our community, mindful that the challenges for many in our community continue to grow.

Please join us on December 20th for some holiday music and cheer, some love and gratitude to a generous community, and some reflections on continuing support to Harford County’s most vulnerable citizens.

The Music & Cheer
Four Harford County Singer-Songwriters will perform their favorite holiday songs acoustically in the “Nashville Round Style.” Each artist will share stories about why each song has a special meaning.
Performing live will be:

– Rich Presberry, Jr.
– Ashley Marie
– Ed Neenan
– John Paulsen

Songs will range from traditional to contemporary and will take on a unique spin akin to each musician’s style for the evening’s performances.

The Love & Gratitude
The winter season of giving has always meant we opened our hearts a little wider and gave our time, energy, and/or what we could spare financially to those in greater need than ourselves. In 2020, COVID-19 had a dramatic impact to so many already in need – and our community has rallied to help, with that giving spirit shining throughout the whole year.

A VERY HOLIDAY HAPPY HOUR is a celebration of what the community has accomplished in 2020 and a reminder to remain focused on the continuing, growing need of those hit hardest by the pandemic.

Reflections on Continuing Support into 2021
As you may know, December 21st is the longest night of the year – especially for our area’s homeless – and has been designated National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day. This somber occasion will serve as a reminder and thematic backdrop for this event. Some of our most vulnerable neighbors need even more help now as colder, longer winter nights return this season.

We will be collecting warm clothing donations for the homeless, as colder weather is approaching. A donation box will be available at The State Theater during the event.

This is not a fundraiser. This is a moment of gratitude to those who have stepped up to meet the need in 2020, and a commitment to our neighbors who are struggling, that we will not look the other way. We hope you can join us for an evening of music, love, gratitude and community!
