The Harford Community Action Agency, Inc. is dedicated to providing assistance to help all Harford County individuals and families who are experiencing financial hardships in meeting their housing, food, energy/heating, and/or budget and family counseling needs. We support and encourage them on their path to self-sufficiency.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Statement
HCAA is committed to building strategic pathways tailored for each family and the unqiue needs of our community by feeding all Harford County residents who are food insecure, providing energy assistance based on each client’s need, and utilizing a diversity of housing options to maximize access to safe and sustainable living for all.
We work in collaboration with a variety of public and private organizations to develop and implement strategic programs. Collaborative efforts span across government, business, philanthropy, non-profit organizations and citizens to achieve significant, positive, and lasting social change to strengthen and uplift vulnerable populations on their journey to self-sufficiency.
Community Needs Assessment, 2020
Part of HCAA’s role as a Community Action Agency is to conduct a Community Needs Assessment every three years to get a better understanding of our community, our customers, and what the needs of both are. We began gathering data for this CNA in January 2019 and concluded our final focus group in January 2020. Prior to this year, the most recent CNA was conducted in 2016.
