The Homeless Prevention Program helps prevent homelessness by providing residents with up to $500 in grant assistance to pay their rent or mortgage.

Funds may also be available to pay security deposits for homeless clients moving from temporary shelter into permanent housing.  Income eligibility is 200% of poverty.

Individuals or families in need of assistance with rent, mortgage, or security deposit must call HCAA during normal business hours to make an appointment.  Those in need of rent assistance must have an eviction notice, along with the documents listed above to verify identity, household size, residence, and income.  No assistance can be provided until all required documentation is received.
